Platting Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage platting process from submittal through recordation, ensuring compliance with local, county, and state regulations.
- Serve as the primary liaison with municipal staff, engineers, surveyors, and developers to coordinate plat approvals.
- Review plats and documentation for accuracy and adherence to internal standards and jurisdictional requirements.
- Prepare and submit all necessary documentation for plat submittals, resubmittals, and final approvals.
- Deliver and retrieve plats, tax certificates, and supporting documents in person at agencies such as Harris, Montgomery, and Brazoria Counties.
- Track project schedules, submission deadlines, and required deliverables using spreadsheets and internal systems.
- Maintain organized digital records of recorded plats, submittal history, expense reports, and payments.
- Lead and facilitate internal and external status meetings related to platting deliverables.
- Provide updates and reports to project managers, leadership, and clients.
- Mentor and support Platting Assistants and contribute to team knowledge-sharing and training efforts.
- Identify and recommend process improvements that streamline platting workflows and enhance client experience.
- Stay informed on changing regulations, permitting procedures, and industry standards related to platting and land development.
- 2-3 years of experience in platting, permitting, land development, or related field.
- High School Diploma required; associate degree or higher preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Must be comfortable driving in the Greater Houston area as needed for platting-related tasks.
- Strong organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Solid knowledge of municipal platting processes and terminology.
- Familiarity with Greater Houston area municipalities and county agencies preferred.
- Experience mentoring or training junior staff is a plus.
