HOSPITAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN II

We are seeking a Hospital Maintenance Technician II, also referred to as our Maintenance Worker or Maintenance Specialist . A Hospital Maintenance Tech is responsible for maintaining and repairing non-medical equipment like HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and facility structures to ensure the hospital operates safely and efficiently. They perform routine inspections, respond to emergencies, and ensure compliance with safety codes to support patient care and hospital operations.

Employment Type : Full Time

Hours: 8 hour shifts - Monday through Friday 8a to 5p with call on rotation basis

Location: Knapp Medical Center – Weslaco, Texas

Responsibilities

Maintains accurate logs on all equipment in hospital and provides for a safe working environment. Also maintain and repair equipment including, but not limited to, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, plant maintenance, and medical gas systems. Driving as needed for company business.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Able to troubleshoot, read schematics, and/or blue prints.

2. Valid state driver’s license.

3. Minimum 2 years’ experience required

4. High school diploma or equivalent required
