Director of People Operations
- Collaborate with hiring managers to define job profiles, interview processes, and scorecards, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Design and implement a cohesive people strategy aligned with company goals.
- Manage and mentor the People Ops Generalist, providing guidance and growth opportunities.
- Oversee recruiting, onboarding, performance management, benefits, and compliance.
- Partner with the CFO on compensation reviews, budgeting, and benchmarking to ensure pay equity and competitiveness.
- Lead employee engagement and retention programs, using data and feedback to drive action.
- Develop and execute learning, leadership, and professional development initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and advise leaders on HR best practices.
- Own company culture programs including DE&I, wellness, and recognition.
- Serve as a trusted advisor for employee relations, coaching leaders through challenges with empathy and accountability.
- Optimize and maintain our existing HR systems (Rippling, Greenhouse, and LinkedIn) to ensure efficient workflows, data accuracy, and seamless automation across People Ops processes.
- Track People Ops KPIs and provide regular reporting to leadership on key metrics (turnover, engagement, time-to-fill, etc.).
- Starting with the obvious: you are PASSIONATE! (Seriously, you must LOVE what you do!)
- You have 6+ years of progressive HR or People Ops experience, with at least 2 years leading a team.
- You have experience building or scaling HR operations in a high-growth or post-merger environment.
- You have hands-on experience using Rippling and Greenhouse (or similar systems) to manage the full employee lifecycle from recruiting and onboarding to performance and reporting.
- You have deep knowledge of employment law, compliance, and modern HR best practices.
- You're comfortable working strategically while rolling up your sleeves to execute.
- You bring strong business acumen and the ability to align people initiatives to company objectives.
- You're an empathetic leader and skilled communicator who builds trust across all levels.
- You love data, systems, and structure and know how to use them to drive results.
- You have a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- You are legally authorized to work permanently in the US without employer sponsorship
- You're a self-starter with the ability to "figure it out" but not afraid to ask questions.
