In our contemporary office setting, you'll collaborate in a professional atmosphere featuring state-of-the-art IT infrastructure and ergonomic workstations. On the manufacturing floor, you'll find a cutting-edge plastic injection molding plant where precision and innovation come together. While we ensure top-notch quality in component production, you may occasionally notice mild odors and temperature variations typical of the manufacturing process. Safety is a top priority, with stringent protocols in place to ensure a secure workplace. Some of the responsibilities of CMM Technician may include: * Operate and Program CMM:
- Set up, operate, and program CMM equipment to inspect parts according to
engineering drawings and specifications.
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to perform precise measurements.
- Stay updated on advancements in CMM technology and measurement techniques. * Conduct Inspections:
- Perform detailed inspections of parts and components, ensuring they meet required
tolerances and quality standards. * Report and Document Findings:
- Record and report inspection results, identifying and documenting any deviations or
defects.
- Analyze measurement data to ensure parts meet quality and tolerance requirements. * Collaborate with Teams:
- Work closely with the quality, engineering, and production teams to address any issues
and improve processes. * Maintain Equipment:
- Regularly calibrate, maintain and troubleshoot CMM equipment to ensure optimal
performance and accuracy.
Requirements/Responsibilities
CMM Technician Requirements:
* High school diploma or GED required. * Technical or vocational training in metrology or a related field is preferred. * Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in operating and programming CMMs. * Experience in a manufacturing or quality control environment, preferably in theautomotive or related industry. * Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints. * Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). * Experience with CMM software such as PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar. * Certification in CMM operation/programming or a related quality control certification is a
plus. * Familiarity with CAD software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). * Ability to use and manage data within a digital environment. * Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)* Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings. * Basic understanding of quality management principles. * Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. * Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with team members
