Job Summary

The Corporate Sales Representative is responsible for increasing membership sales by offering discounted memberships to single points of contact at businesses, school districts, municipalities... Ideally, the largest employers in any market who in turn offer the discounts to their employees as an added employee benefit.

The Corporate Sales Representative will report to the Director of Corporate Sales and be involved in all aspects of the program membership growth through field generated lead follow-up and direct targeted sales

This unique position will oversee sales in a specific multi-city region or vertical market, (i.e., schools, hospitals...), often with direct contact with the targeted company, their employees, and multiple internal contact levels.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Managing Customer contacts with Businesses, School Districts, Municipalities, Hospitals, Apartment Complexes. Often at the Corporate level and must be comfortable dealing with senior management and knowing how to reach them.
  • Take a consultative approach to sales, speaking on behalf of the fitness industry while helping various businesses meet their needs and the interests of their employees- Often helping them recognize these needs and how Planet Fitness meets them.
  • Manage all aspects of the sales process from initial contact to on-site launch, (remotely), including management and distribution of collateral and individual company details.
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities and opportunities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work with regional and individual club management to assure all aspects of the program are understood.
  • Launch new accounts to an individual club or region, making sure Point of Sale signage is in place and monitor new membership activity.
  • Track leads and new opportunities.
  • Must be comfortable overseeing an area remotely.
  • Occasionally, the job will require business-related representation at networking, social, or company functions which may or may not fall outside the regular work schedule. Corporate Sales Representative may be required to attend such functions as needed.
  • Corporate Sales Representative is responsible for procuring corporate contracts for memberships with access to delegated Planet Fitness El Paso-Las Cruces facilities. These may include small offices, large corporations and/ or city and county organizations
  • Required to “cold call”, visit various business, research ideal company profiles, attend meetings, host lunch meetings, and attend functions, host membership recruitment/sign up events, etc. as necessary in an effort to build relationships with and ultimately secure membership contracts with designated merchant companies
  • Responsible for acting as the liaison between corporate customers and Planet Fitness El Paso-Las Cruces in order to ensure that all levels or service, attention and contract parameters are being fully met
  • Responsible for providing owner(s) and/or Corporate Sales Director a daily, weekly, and monthly report indicating the status of pending, current and completed corporate deals
  • Responsible for ensuring that all of his/her corporate accounts are completed, signed and entered into system correctly and in a timely manner
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of all Corporate accounts
  • Responsible for ensuring that all monthly dues, check payments, bank drafts, etc. associated with their own procured corporate accounts are being paid correctly and in a timely manner, as verified by Corporate Sales Director
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Prior sales experience minimum of 2 years’ experience
  • Must posses a current Drivers License
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Speak, read, & write fluent English

Physical Demands

  • Continual standing and walking during shift
  • Local outside sales calls involving driving
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

Compensation Type: Salary plus commission
