NICU RN Job Details

• Location: Webster, TX 77598 (Greater Houston area)
• Healthcare Setting: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) – Level II/III
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel contract (July 21, 2025 – October 20, 2025)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Minimum 4 weekend shifts per schedule
• On-Call: Occasional
• Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1570-$1610

NICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state (required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent NICU nursing experience (required)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (required)
• STABLE certification (preferred)
• Experience with central lines (UAC, UVC, broviacs, PICC) (preferred)
• Strong clinical skills, team player, and self-motivated

NICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care to critically ill neonates in a Level II/III NICU environment
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions using Meditech and CPN EMR systems
• Administer medications and perform/assist with procedures such as IV starts and PICC insertions (if trained)
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Float to the newborn nursery as needed to support clinical operations
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and family-centered care environment
