Intern, Internal Audit
Basic Function
HF Sinclair in Dallas, TX is seeking Intern Auditors for 2026. The Intern Auditors will conduct routine auditing assignments for the Internal Audit department under direct supervision.
Job Duties
(functions considered essential as defined by ADA)
- Assists with maintaining documentation and testing of internal controls over financial reporting for the Companys Sarbanes-Oxley compliance efforts
- Assists team in conducting routine financial and operational risk-based audits and review of internal controls of the Companys operations
- Maintains documentation of process-related controls, including flowcharts and matrices
- Performs routine audit fieldwork testing

None.
Education Level
Some completed courses needed for a Bachelor's Degree in internal audit, accounting or finance, are required.
PREFERRED EDUCATIONAL LEVEL: Concentration in internal audit, accounting or finance is preferred.
Required Skills
Basic ability to perform routine audit tasks and some financial analysis. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products; entry level understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), finance concepts and procedures. Intermediate reading and writing, ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to perform basic math calculations. PREFERRED SKILLS: Experience with ERP financial software is preferred.
Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility
Work Conditions
Office based with up to 20% travel by land and air required. Petroleum refinery, warehouse/plant environment and out-of-doors environment including but not limited to chemicals, pressure vessels, and tanks, and rotating equipment. Subject to all temperatures, weather and varying road conditions.

Physical Requirements
Job conditions require standing, walking, sitting, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, reaching or grasping, lifting and/or carrying up to 20lbs, pushing and/or pulling up to 20lbs, climbing up to 40 ft, perceiving color differences, ability to operate and drive all assigned company vehicles at company standard insurance rates is essential, valid State drivers license and proof of insurance, and wearing personal protective equipment (beards not permitted).
