Job Overview
Ascend HR Corp | HR Maximizer is seeking a Temporary Human Resources Business Partner to support Legacy Community Health in Houston, Texas. This is a full-time temporary assignment for an experienced HR professional who can step into a fast-paced healthcare environment and provide strong day-to-day partnership to leaders and employees.
In this role, you will serve as a trusted HR partner supporting a designated group of clinics within an assigned Houston-area service region. The successful candidate will bring strong employee relations experience, sound judgment, healthcare HR knowledge, and the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
This role involves local travel between assigned clinics in the Houston area. It is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to a respected healthcare organization while employed full-time by Ascend HR Corp | HR Maximizer.
Key Responsibilities
- Consultative Partnership: Serve as a trusted HR advisor to managers and employees across assigned clinics and departments.
- Employee Relations: Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations matters, performance management, corrective action, and workplace concerns.
- Workforce Planning: Partner with leadership on staffing needs, workforce planning, and organizational support within assigned client groups.
- Policy & Compliance: Facilitate the implementation of HR policies; monitor and support compliance with FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and other applicable employment laws.
- Operational Alignment: Participate in manager and department meetings to stay informed and provide HR expertise on workforce issues and operational priorities.
- Conflict Resolution: Assist in resolving employee concerns, grievances, and workplace challenges through practical, timely, and empathetic solutions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with recruiting, HR, and operational leaders to support departmental goals and foster a positive, service-oriented employee experience.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 7 years of progressive HR experience is required.
- At least 3 years of HR experience within healthcare or a similarly complex, multi-site environment is highly preferred.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in employee relations, manager coaching, and HR policy interpretation.
- Strong business acumen, outstanding interpersonal judgment, and the ability to build trust quickly with diverse management levels.
- Calm, credible, and capable of working autonomously in a dynamic, service-driven setting.
