TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Lubbock, Texas, 79410!
ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 14 Weeks Shift: Day 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in ICU required License: Valid state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Cardiac and neuro experience General surgery experience Trauma experience Description: Travel experience required. Position may float between units. Weekends are required every other weekend. On-call is not required. Expected patient ratios are 1:2-1:3. Previous charge experience is preferred. Experience with a charting system is preferred. Charting system used is Epic. Patient age groups serviced are adults. Daily census and number of visits per day vary. Unit supports interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Common patient diagnoses include trauma, cardiovascular surgery, general surgery, and neurologic conditions. Must be able to manage and care for ventilated patients. Required skills include arterial line management, blood product administration, and management of IV drips. Must assess urine output and interpret arterial blood gases. Responsibilities also include patient care for post-surgical cases. Must possess effective communication and teamwork skills. Travelers may need to float between nearby facilities as required.
