Accounts Payable / Bookkeeper Associate (Part-time)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining financial records. This role requires strong analytical skills and a commitment to maintaining financial integrity

The Accounts Payable / Bookkeeper position is responsible for managing the day-to-day financial transactions of the company, including handling accounts payable, reconciling bank statements, tracking financial transactions in QuickBooks, and assisting with payroll related functions. The administrative role will support strategic accounting functions by maintaining accurate financial data and Accounts Payable files. This is a part-time position 24 hours / week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconciling bank accounts at the end of each month.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, invoicing, and support payroll.
  • Process and record accounts payable transactions in a timely manner
  • Review and verify invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies
  • Prepare and process payment runs, including checks and electronic payments
  • Maintain vendor records and manage vendor inquiries
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist with month-end closing activities and financial reporting
  • Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations


Requirements


Skills & Qualifications · Proven experience in accounts payable or bookkeeping or in a similar role.

  • Basic knowledge of financial concepts and processes.
  • Experience with accounting software, such as QuickBooks
  • Tech savvy in online applications, Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organization skills with ability to build and maintain robust processes for maintaining files and key financial data. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Education and Experience: - Associate's degree preferred.- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or related role
