Crew Leader - Commercial Maintenance
Southern Botanical is seeking Commercial Landscape Maintenance Crew Leaders who take pride in their work and consistently deliver high-quality results and strong customer service. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for leading a maintenance crew on commercial properties, ensuring daily work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. Crew Leaders plan daily routes and tasks, train and support crew members, oversee equipment, and maintain strong communication with management while representing Southern Botanical professionally on job sites.
Position Responsibilities:
- Plan and organize daily maintenance activities while enforcing all safety policies and procedures
- Lead and direct crew members to ensure work is completed efficiently and to quality standards
- Train, mentor, and support crew members on proper maintenance practices and equipment use
- Perform and oversee commercial landscape maintenance services, including mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, and general site upkeep
- Inspect properties and completed work to ensure quality, safety, and productivity meet company standards
- Complete daily job updates, time tracking, and project notes using Aspire
- Follow written and verbal direction from management to complete assigned routes and tasks
- Ensure trucks, tools, and equipment are properly maintained, clean, and ready for daily operations
- Address punch list items and service requests as needed
- Represent Southern Botanical professionally while interacting with clients and property managers
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Valid state driver’s license and ability to qualify to drive company vehicles
- 1–2 years of experience in commercial landscape maintenance
- Strong knowledge of maintenance practices, including mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, irrigation checks, and general site upkeep
- Ability to follow maintenance schedules, service scopes, and property-specific instructions
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and lead a maintenance crew
- Working knowledge of landscape maintenance equipment and tools, with the ability to ensure proper use, safety, and routine maintenance
- Ability to communicate effectively with crew members, supervisors, and clients or property managers
- Comfortable using technology for daily job updates, time tracking, and service notes (Aspire experience preferred)
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds

Include external environment dealing with all weather and terrain exposure. Safety equipment includes, but is not limited to hard hats, gloves, earplugs, safety vest and safety glasses. This position requires the ability to work during inclement weather events.
