Job Summary
We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join our client’s team. In this role, you will perform diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily general X-ray exams, including routine and mobile imaging. You will support accurate diagnoses and high-quality patient care by producing diagnostic-quality radiographic images while adhering to radiation safety standards and best practices.
Job Description
- Operate and maintain radiographic/X-ray equipment, including mobile imaging units.
- Prepare imaging rooms and equipment; ensure all necessary supplies are available and ready.
- Position patients accurately and compassionately; adjust exposure factors (kVp, mA, time) for optimal image quality.
- Perform imaging studies and evaluate images for diagnostic adequacy; repeat studies as needed.
- Adhere to radiation protection protocols to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and self.
- Document procedures, patient information, and images accurately in the Radiology Information System (RIS), PACS, and EMR.
- Conduct routine quality control checks and coordinate minor maintenance or supply replenishment as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with radiologists, fellow technologists, and other healthcare professionals to support efficient department operations.
Skills Required
- At least one (1) year of experience as General Radiographer
- Experience in an Acute setting required
Education/Training/Certifications
- Completion of an appropriate training program for Radiologic Technologist
- Current certification and registration as a Radiology Tech issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- A valid license as a radiologic technologist issued by the NYSDOH
Additional Requirements
- Shift Time: 10:00 AM-6:00 PM, alternating weekends required - Weekends/Holidays required
- Training will be for 2 weeks, from 9a-5p, including the EPIC class
Pay Rate
- $53–$62 per hour, based on experience, skills, and market factors
