Monday - Friday - 2nd Shift (Afternoon/Evening)
2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 2PM-10:30PM
Pay starts at: $17.25/hr + $1 shift differential
Seasonal Forklift Operator
The Seasonal Forklift Operator is primarily responsible for safely operating basic powered material handling equipment (excluding the Order Picker, Turret, and Drexel) for product receipt, storage, and order fulfillment. This position is accountable for product safety, quality, legality, and integrity.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform full case order picking for replenishment, customer orders, and packaging components.
- Retrieve and put away pallets in narrow aisle bulk rack storage systems.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure transaction accuracy.
- Load and unload pallets and cases from trucks and conveyor lines by hand or equipment.
- Sort and build product on pallets to meet customer expectations.
- Use machinery to apply shrink wrap to pallets.
- Complete pre- and post-equipment checklists.
- Maintain storage location accuracy through daily cycle counts and routine inventory maintenance.
- Perform other distribution tasks as needed based on business volume and operational needs.
Education / Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to operate basic powered material handling equipment (e.g., electric pallet jack, forklift).
- Must meet all PPE and fall protection requirements.
- Ability to work on equipment at extended heights.
- Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and flexibility in meeting deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer service driven.
- Strong team player.
