Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Facilities craft are responsible for operating & maintaining plant utilities, support systems and equipment. These include, but are not limited to, HVAC equipment, refrigerated air and water systems, water-cooling towers, steam and condensate systems, compressed air systems and water treatment systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Operate & perform routine maintenance on utility support systems and equipment.

2. Diagnose failures of and effect repairs on utility support systems and equipment.

3. Perform overhauls and preventative maintenance inspections on systems and equipment as directed.

4. Rebuild equipment and components as required.

5. Assist other plant maintenance groups as required in support of plant needs.

6. Work on projects as directed.

7. As a team member, follow all safety, quality, and safe quality food (SQF) rules.

8. Performs other duties as directed by supervisor.

Production TPL’s, Production Maintenance GML’s, and Production Maintenance Craft

Production and Maintenance Supervisors and Management

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE:

Three years of Facilities Maintenance (HVAC, Electrical & Mechanical) is required. Formal HVAC Training that was completed in the past 3 years may be substituted for experience requirement.

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Formal Training in HVAC Maintenance (Military, Trade School or College) preferred.

Refrigerant recovery certificate preferred.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be well organized, and be a team player.

Computer knowledge (SAP, Excel, Word)

Good oral and written skills

Good organization skills

Good interpersonal skills
