We are looking for a motivated individual with expertise in computer vision, digital image processing, databases and analytics, supervised learning, web application development, logic in computer science, data mining and information retrieval.

The data science intern’s experience at Jacobs provides an opportunity to gain real-world experience in innovative solution developments. Interns will work alongside world-class professionals in a fast-paced, professional setting which provides invaluable experience applying the knowledge and skills learned through education in a business environment.

Here's what you'll need

• B.A. or B.S Degree in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Data Science, Data Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or related field) from an accredited university; Preferred Masters’ Degree
• Proficient experience in data science focused on data for client studies, modelling, data wrangling, and/or ML/AI
• Fluency in C#, Python, R, and/or other computing languages
• Familiarity with SQL and relational databases
• Experience with a variety of Business Intelligence tools including Tableau and PowerBI
• Proven ability to work directly with clients in complex analyses and presenting deliverables to non-technical personnel
• Ability to travel as necessary to meet project and client requirements
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and be self-directed
• Proven ability to work within a collaborative team environment, excellent communication skills, and coordinate activities between program components
• Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail

The base salary range for this position is $58,240.00 to $60,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
