Shipping and Receiving Lead

Pick/Pack Lead (DeSoto, TX)

Job Overview:

The Pick/Pack Lead is responsible for leading the shipping process of products at the distribution center.

Monday-Friday.

7:00AM-3:30PM.

Pay Range based on experience is 18–$21 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and ensure accurate order picking and packing by team members.
• Inspect packages for proper packing and apply final shipping and carton labels.
• Perform quality checks and communicate issues to management.
• Maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Work with order entry to meet ship dates.
• Assist with inventory and cycle counts.
• Maintain a safe, organized warehouse environment.
• End-of-day tasks include cleaning, trash disposal, and rack organization.
• Communicate with customers via phone/email when needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

• At least 1 year of experience in a distribution/warehouse environment.
• Experience with high-volume shipping to various customer types.
• Knowledge of packing procedures, tools, and warehouse basics .
• Experience with UPS and FedEx shipping software is a required.
• Familiarity with customer routing guides and retailer shipping requirements is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel .
• Bill of Lading.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs and stand for multiple hours.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Cross-training and multitasking skills.
• Deadline-oriented, detail-focused, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
