Engineering Manager
- Ensure engineering activities comply with safety regulations, environmental requirements, and company policies.
- Champion process safety initiatives and participate in audits, HAZOPs, and incident investigations.
- Develop and maintain documentation and standards for equipment, systems, and processes.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and technical specialists.
- Establish clear goals, performance metrics, and development plans for the engineering team.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, innovation, and technical excellence.
- Oversee design and optimization of plant equipment, systems, and infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide expert guidance to Operations and Maintenance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, productivity, quality, and cost reduction.
- Lead root-cause analyses and implement corrective actions for process deviations or equipment failures.
- Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to optimize manufacturing performance.
- Manage planning, justification, and execution of capital projects ranging from equipment upgrades to facility expansions.
- Develop project scopes, budgets, timelines, and risk assessments.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Partner with Operations to support daily production goals and resolve technical challenges.
- Work with Quality to ensure manufacturing processes meet product specifications and standards.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and Procurement on equipment sourcing and vendor evaluation.
- Work with Maintenance to prevent electrical and mechanical obsolescence of controls and equipment.
- Partner with HSE to incorporate company health, safety, and environmental requirements into plant equipment and processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
- 7+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- 3+ years of leadership experience managing engineers, supervisors, or technical teams preferred.
- Proven track record of leading reliability programs, process improvement initiatives, or capital projects.
- Strong leadership, communication, and people development skills.
- Deep understanding of plant systems, manufacturing processes, and industrial equipment.
- Proficiency in Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, reliability engineering, or project management methodologies preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid understanding of OSHA, environmental regulations, and industry-specific safety standards preferred.
