Our core business, producing plastic resins and petrochemicals, takes place at three wholly-owned chemical manufacturing subsidiaries located in Delaware City, Delaware, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Point Comfort, Texas. I. POSITION OBJECTIVE To perform the duties of a Rail Car Loading Operator within the P.O. Shipping and Storage Department II. QUALIFICATIONS 1. High School graduate or equivalent 2. Valid Driver's License 3. 1-3 years Rail Car Loading experience preferred but not required. III. TRAINING Policy, Procedure and Safety training available after hire. IV. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Relieve shift properly 2. Check silo levels 3. Inspect Loading stations 4. Inspect Hopper cars for defects 5. Operate Locomotive 6. Weigh Hopper cars 7. Perform minor Hopper car repairs 8. Switching knowledge 9. Perform Loading Operator Round Inspections 10. Perform minor repairs to loading equipment 11. Perform magnet and screen inspections 12. Maintain log book 13. Provide samples to the lab 14. Clean work area per THM 15. Adhere/Implement/educate/train and adhere to all company policies and procedures including but not limited to, ISO, personnel, quality, environmental, health, safety, Federal and State laws, regulatory and company requirements 16. Comply with NTG (Nothing Touching the Ground) requirements. Including daily audits. 17. Employee is responsible for managing hazardous and non-hazardous wastes as required by State and Federal regulations and in compliance with FPC-TX policies regarding hazardous and non-hazardous waste management. 18. Work outside normal shift hours as needed. 19. Maintain regular and reliable attendance. 20. Perform other duties as assigned. V. MACHINES, TOOLS, AND ELECTRICAL DEVICES 1. Locomotive 2. Climbing, ascending or descending ladder, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized. B. Balancing, maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces. C. Stooping, bending body downward and forward by bending spine and waist. Example: Catching Samples. D. Kneeling: bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees. E. Crouching bends the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine. F. Crawling, moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet. G. Reaching, extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. H. Standing, particularly for sustained periods of time. I. Walking, moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances. J. Pushing, using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward, downward, or outward. K. Pulling, using upper extremities to exert force in order to drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion. DEGREE OF LIFTING ON A REGULAR BASIS: 75lbs L. Other criteria based on accuracy and neatness of work. D. Position requires individual to differentiate colors, depth and perception. VIII. CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO THIS POSITION A. Inside environmental conditions protected from weather conditions not necessarily room temperature conditions. B. Outside environmental conditions, no effective protection from weather. C. Inside and outside conditions, no effective protection from weather. D. Subject to extreme cold, temperatures below 32 degrees for periods of more than one hour. E. Subject to extreme heat, temperatures above 100 degrees for periods more than one hour. F. Subject to noise, causing reason to shout in order to he heard above the noise. G. Subject to vibration, exposure fluctuating movements of the body H. Subject to hazards such as moving machinery, electrical currents, falling debris, exposure to chemicals, gases, high heat or explosives. I. Subject to unregulated atmospheric conditions caused by odors, fumes, gases, poor ventilation, and dust. J. Subject to oils and other cutting fluids via touch or air. K. Air density conditions causing the use of a respirator.
