Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented  Paralegal to support our legal team in complex medical-related litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, records, and procedures, and will play a key role in analyzing medical evidence and preparing cases for trial or settlement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, analyze, and summarize medical records for use in litigation.

• Prepare medical chronologies, timelines, and summaries for attorney review.

• Coordinate and manage the collection of medical records from healthcare providers.

• Identify missing records or inconsistencies and follow up as needed.

• Communicate with medical experts, clients, and witnesses regarding medical aspects of the case.

• Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions, mediation, and trial.

• Maintain detailed records, databases, and case files in compliance with firm protocols.

• Draft correspondence, pleadings, and discovery related to medical issues.

• Support attorneys with document production and organization.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a medical paralegal, preferably in a defense firm.

• Proficiency in medical terminology and record analysis is required.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication.

• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Familiarity with Texas court procedures and rules.

• Proficiency in legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Paralegal certification from an ABA-approved program is preferred.
