Welder Job Description:

PrideStaff is working with a local business that is seeking an experienced Welder to join their team. The Welder will lay out, fabricate, assemble, and install high-pressure industrial piping systems using specialized welding techniques like MIG, TIG, or Stick welding. The ideal Welder has at least 5 years of pressure pipe welding experience in a manufacturing shop setting. The Welder is a full-time, temp-to-hire in Ft. Worth, TX.

Welder Job Responsibilities:

• Fabrication & Installation: Cut, Clean, Fit, Brace & Install Metal Pipes (Carbon & Stainless Steel) According to Project Specifications

• Clean, Paint & Install all Pipe Runs with Correct Bolts & Gaskets according to Project Specifications

• Weld Pipe Segments Permanently Using Welding Processes such as MIG, TIG, SMAW & Flux-Core

• Perform all Tasks to a High Level of Quality Without Constant Supervision from Managers or Quality Control

• Must be Able to Work with Other Team Members to Coordinate Process

• Read & Interpret Isometric Drawings, Schematics, & Layouts to Plan Pipe Routes

• Follow Written Installation Instructions for any Special Components to Insure Proper Installation

• Perform Hydrostatic or Low Pressure Tests to Detect Leaks & Document Tests According to Project Requirements

• Follow All OSHA PPE & Safety Guidelines

Welder Job Requirements:

• HS Diploma or Equivalent Required

• Must have 5 Years Minimum of High Pressure Pipe Welding Experience

• Must be Proficient in Pipefitting Methods & Welding Techniques (MIG, TIG, SMAW, Stick) & Have Required Certifications

• Must be Skilled in Using Level, Torches, Grinders, Drill Saws, Hand Tools & Measuring Instruments

• Must be Able to Work in Confined Spaces, Lift Heavy Materials & Work at Heights

• Must be Able to Work in a Team Environment
