The Senior Microsoft Systems Engineer will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and optimizing Concentra’s Microsoft 365 environment including Exchange, Active Directory, and Intune. This role requires comprehensive expertise across the Microsoft technology stack including Azure, virtualization, integrations, automation, and security. Design secure, and scalable enterprise solutions that leverage the full capabilities of the Microsoft ecosystem. Extensive Microsoft domain expertise to lead the design, and implementation of a new Microsoft tenant and associated infrastructure in coordination with Concentra’s security policies and Microsoft best practices.

Responsibilities
- Architect and implement a new Microsoft tenant and infrastructure from the ground up, and design and execute a migration strategy from legacy systems.
- Configure and deploy Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Intune, and OneDrive.
- Evaluate the current infrastructure and provide recommendations for optimizations within our services and platforms such as VDI, SaaS components and automation tools.
- Build integrations & automations between Microsoft systems and third-party applications through scripting and workflow tools.
- Collaborate with security teams to implement comprehensive security solutions that integrate with our current security suite.
- Implement and optimize Intune for comprehensive mobile device, application, and security management.
- Develop and implement comprehensive backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Create detailed documentation including KB articles, SOPs, and architectural diagrams for any new or existing implementations.
- Lead training for IT staff on new systems and processes.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide high-level escalation support.
- Collaborate with executive leadership and business stakeholders on strategic IT initiatives.
Qualifications
- Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree ; Major: Computer Science or Information Technology
- Experience in lieu of required education is acceptable
- 7+ years of experience in IT systems engineering with specialized focus on Microsoft technologies.
- Deep expertise with Microsoft 365 administration, architecture, and security.
- Strong experience with Azure infrastructure design and implementation.
- Experience with virtual desktop infrastructure solutions (Citrix/AVD) and technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to build system integrations and develop automation solutions.
- Proven experience with Active Directory and Azure AD design, implementation, and federation.
- Advanced experience with Exchange Online configuration, management, and migration.
- Expert knowledge of Intune and modern device/application management.
- Comprehensive understanding of regulatory, security, and governance principles and Zero Trust architecture.
- Experience with identity management and SSO solutions.
- Project management experience with complex infrastructure migrations.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
