Speech-Language Pathologist Job Details

• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts
• On-Call: No call required
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1800-$1840

SLP Qualifications

• Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in Texas (required for Texas SLP jobs)
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an SLP in a hospital or rehabilitation setting
• Certification in Rehabilitation Therapy preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Speech-Language Pathologist Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in hospital patients
• Develop individualized treatment plans for patients with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental conditions, and rehabilitation needs
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to optimize patient outcomes in a clinical setting
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate healthcare records
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding speech and language therapy
