Seasonal Trommel Screen Operator

Company Summary

Nature’s Way Resources is an organic Green Waste Recycling Facility that manufactures composts, mulches, and soil blends. We use Trommel Screens to sift through our products, separating and removing large material and trash from the fines or finished product. Your roll will be maintaining machine cleanliness, preventative maintenance, and removing trash and debris from the conveyor belts. This is a full-time position due to the growth of the company and are excited to have new employees join our team.

Job Description

Seasonal position.
Every morning you will first complete the preoperational checks for the machine which includes greasing, checking engine oil levels, hydraulic oil levels, antifreeze levels, and cleaning the air filters/radiators. Second, you will be monitoring the machine for production rates and removing debris (trash, rocks, and other non-organic material) from a conveyor belt. Third, you will be removing material that accumulates under the machine during the operating process.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Removal of debris and trash from conveyor belt while machine is running

- Daily cleaning of the machine by removing material under conveyor belts and on the machine that have accumulated while the machine was running

- Preventive maintenance which includes checking fluid levels daily. Engine oil, antifreeze, and hydraulic oil along with cleaning the air filter, radiators, and greasing pullies, pivot points, and bearings.

- Completing daily preoperational check list paperwork

- Adding fuel to machines when needed

- Other tasks as needed

This position requires PPE, eye wear and steel toe boots. We do provide eyewear and gloves, but you will be expected to have your own boots.

Skills Required

- Outside position. Individual must possess the ability to work in the heat and cold as weather fluctuates.

- Entry level position with the opportunity for advancement based on performance.

- Bilingual preferred
