Job Summary:

The Counter Sales Associate - Plumbing is responsible for providing excellent customer service and sales support in our Abilene store. This role involves assisting customers with product inquiries, processing sales transactions, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have an extensive understanding of plumbing products and supplies, excellent communication skills, and a customer-focused attitude. Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers as they enter the store
• Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally
• Provide knowledgeable advice and recommendations on plumbing products and supplies
• Promote and upsell products to enhance the customer’s shopping experience
• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the store's product offerings
• Keep the sales counter and surrounding area clean and organized
• Work closely with other sales associates and store staff to achieve sales goals
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Basic math skills and proficiency with POS systems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 80 lbs) and stand for extended periods
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a retail or sales environment, preferably in a plumbing or hardware store
