Accounts Payable Lead

LaSalle Network is working with a leading technology company headquartered in the vibrant Uptown district of Dallas, Texas that is looking for an Accounts Payable Lead to join their team. Their innovative solutions serve a diverse range of clients, driving efficiency and excellence in their operations. As they continue to expand and evolve, they are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounts Payable Lead to join their finance team.

As the Accounts Payable Lead, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the accounts payable processes. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the AP function, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies and procedures. Reporting to the AP Director, you will lead a small team and collaborate closely with cross-functional departments to streamline processes and drive continuous improvement.

Accounts Payable Lead Responsibilities:

• Supervise and mentor a team of accounts payable specialists, providing guidance, training and performance feedback

• Manage the full cycle of accounts payable operations, including invoice processing, payment approvals, and vendor management

• Review and reconcile vendor invoices, purchase orders and expense reports, resolving discrepancies in a timely manner

• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals and ensure accurate coding of expenses

• Maintain vendor relationships and communicate effectively with vendors regarding payment inquiries and discrepancies

• Prepare and analyze AP aging reports, monitor payment deadlines and manage cash flow projections

• Implement and enforce AP policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements

• Collaborate with the Finance Manager to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation, leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy

• Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals, reconciliations and financial reporting.

• Support external audits and provide documentation and analysis as needed

Accounts Payable Lead Requirements:

• 5+ years of progressive experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role

• Experience with a large ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Excel required; knowledge of Bill.com is a plus

• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders

• Proven leadership abilities, including the ability to motivate and develop a team

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
