Overview:
We’re looking for a hands-on Back of House Manager to lead kitchen operations for one of our restaurants at Pearl. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment and is passionate about team development, food quality, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily back-of-house operations, ensuring food safety, quality, and presentation standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment.
- Supervise kitchen staff to ensure speed, accuracy, and consistency.
- Conduct line checks and pre-shift meetings to align team expectations.
- Manage inventory, food costs, and supply ordering.
- Train and cross-train team members to build a versatile crew.
- Foster a culture of urgency, accountability, and teamwork.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and allergy protocols.
- Hire, train, and manage kitchen staff in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in kitchen or back-of-house management.
- Strong understanding of prep, grill, expo, and quality control.
- Experience with inventory, ordering, and cost control.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and POS/inventory systems.
- Strong communication and leadership skills; Spanish language skills a plus.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
