Tableau Developer

IDR is seeking a Tableau Developer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Austin, TX. This role involves designing and developing enterprise-level dashboards, reports, and data visualizations within a governmental or regulated environment. The organization focuses on business intelligence and data analytics to support operational and strategic decision-making.

Position Overview for the Tableau Developer:

• Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining Tableau dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
• Gathering and documenting business requirements and translating them into reporting and analytics solutions.
• Integrating and validating data from multiple enterprise systems and databases.
• Developing workflow metrics, KPIs, scorecards, and performance-monitoring dashboards.
• Supporting ongoing enhancements, maintenance activities, and business intelligence initiatives as directed by DPS.

Requirements for the Tableau Developer:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience developing, implementing, and maintaining Tableau dashboards, reports, and data visualizations in an enterprise environment.
• Proficiency in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server/Cloud, including dashboard design, data modeling, calculations, and performance optimization.
• Experience working with relational databases and writing SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Ability to gather, analyze, and document business requirements and translate them into technical reporting and analytics solutions.
• Knowledge of data visualization best practices, KPI development, and business intelligence reporting standards.
