Job Description:

Addison Group is seeking a dedicated Medical Customer Service Representative to support our client’s billing and patient services team. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, phone-heavy environment and has a strong grasp of medical billing concepts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle inbound and outbound calls with patients and providers
• Explain insurance details such as copays, deductibles, coinsurance, and EOBs
• Assist patients in understanding their bills and account status
• Follow up with provider offices to obtain missing documentation
• Return patient calls and provide clear, empathetic support

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical front office or customer service role
• Familiarity with reading and interpreting Explanation of Benefits (EOBs)
• Understanding of basic medical insurance terms and processes
• Proficient in basic computer tasks including typing and navigating Windows
• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills
• Ability to remain calm and helpful when assisting frustrated or confused patients

Testing Requirements:

Candidates will be asked to complete the following prior to submission:

• 3-minute typing test
• MS Excel simulation (Office 2016)
