Office and Gift Shop Coordinator
: Required College or business school courses or equivalent. Excellent computer skills including Word and Excel, and standard office machines. Excellent customer service skills. Preferred Experience in office management/administration, retail management. Primary Responsibilities Summary Function: Provide highly skilled administrative and managerial assistance in the museum. Scope: Manage administrative needs in the museum including office, gift shop and staff. Duties Essential: Manage office and daily operations of the museum including opening, closing and monitoring the museum Tuesday through Saturday. Manage the museum gift shop including purchases, merchandising, display, inventory and sales. Supervise volunteer staff, gift shop and student employees. Prepare and maintain administrative and financial records of museum including deposits, purchases, donations, petty cash and other accounts. Maintain visitation records, membership and contact databases and organize mailings and correspondence. Contribute to the museum's social media accounts. Assist Director with budget reports and other duties as needed. Working Conditions Usual: Office conditions; Office hours Tuesday through Saturday 8am - 5pm with some additional evenings and weekends; exempt from overtime provisions; position is Security Sensitive. Responsible for personal safety and the safety of others; must exercise due caution and practice safe work habits at all times. At an elevation of 4,480 feet, and on the periphery of the Chihuahuan Desert, Alpine enjoys mild winters and cool summers.
