Job Description

Join a leading global manufacturer of vehicle-mounted aerial lifts, digger derricks, bucket trucks, and bridge inspection equipment as a Quality Control Technician. This role is essential in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. You will conduct thorough inspections and tests throughout the manufacturing process, collaborating with production, engineering, and management to maintain and improve quality control processes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed inspections of components, sub-assemblies, and finished products to ensure compliance with established quality standards and specifications.
  • Conduct visual inspections, measurements, and functional tests on a variety of products, including aerial lifts and related components.
  • Document and report non-conformities, defects, and deviations from quality standards, collaborating with relevant teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify and address quality issues during the design and manufacturing phases.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures, standards, and guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of inspection results, testing data, and other quality control documentation.
  • Participate in internal and external quality audits, providing support and expertise as needed.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience in quality control, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality control principles, techniques, and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in using measurement tools and testing equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training in quality control or a related field is preferred.
  • Technical certification or vocational training in a related field is a plus.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waco, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
