CT Technologist Job Details

• Location: Austin, TX 78704 (Texas healthcare jobs)
• Facility: Hospital Radiology Department
• Position Type: Locum Tenens CT Tech (Travel Contract)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 8/11/2025 – End: 11/10/2025)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), rotating weekends
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2020 - $2070 per week
• Imaging Equipment: Primarily GE CT scanners
• Team Structure: 100+ imaging technologists and IR nurses; 3 CT/RAD techs per night

CT Tech Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience (hospital radiology setting preferred)
• Active ARRT (CT) certification required
• Current Texas Medical Board (TMB) license
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Experience with trauma and stroke imaging cases
• Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-acuity clinical environment
• Strong CT scanning skills and professional communication
• Team-oriented attitude and flexibility
• Dress code: Olive scrub top, black pants

CT Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans and diagnostic imaging procedures for diverse patient populations
• Efficiently manage trauma and stroke cases in a hospital setting
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and fellow technologists to deliver quality patient care
• Operate and maintain GE CT imaging equipment
• Follow hospital policies, safety protocols, and radiology department guidelines
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in high-acuity situations
• Contribute to a positive, professional, and supportive healthcare team environment
