Full Charge Bookkeeper

Futurex is seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper to handle the bookkeeping and accounting for the organization. This position will report directly to the controller and will assist in the maintenance of the books, processing of payroll, and preparation of the financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Accounts payable
• Monitoring bills and credit card transactions for property coding
• Preparing weekly check runs
• Ensuring all bills have been entered
• Regular communication with vendors to respond to payment inquiries and other requests
• Accounts Receivable
• Entering sales orders and invoices
• Receiving customer payments
• Responding to customer billing requests and inquiries
• General Accounting Duties
• Entering journal entries as necessary
• Reviewing books for proper coding of all transactions
• Entering and reconciling intercompany transactions
• Ensure accuracy of general ledger
• Payroll Duties
• Processing payroll through QuickBooks Desktop
• Process payroll taxes and reports
• Maintaining up to date and accurate filing system for sensitive payroll documents
• Banking
• Reconciling bank statements
• Entering and reconciling credit card charges and statements
• Processing bank deposits
• Reporting
• Preparing financial statements and other reports as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Accounting
• Proven experience in a bookkeeping or other accounting role
• QuickBooks and Microsoft Office experience preferred
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Comfortable with a fast pace environment with little oversight
