Customer Accounting Software Support Specialist

Attention: Accountants or Full Charge Bookkeepers looking for an exciting career transition!

We are looking for a motivated Accounting Software Support Specialist to directly assist our business customers with technical and accounting-related problems when using our products and services. Must have some background knowledge or experience with Accounting.

Candidates with full charge bookkeeper / GAAP accounting experience that are interested in transitioning to an IT career are encouraged to apply!

This job is located in our office in NW Houston.

Responsibilities include: resolving customer queries (both tech and accounting related), recommending solutions, and guiding product users through features and functionalities.

To be successful in this role, you should be an excellent communicator, a talented multitasker, detail-oriented and enjoy providing superior client service.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience working in an accounting or related customer support position, a good understanding of GAAP principles, and great interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.

Customer Accounting Software Support Responsibilities:

Respond to customer queries in a timely and accurate way, via phone or email

Identify customer needs and help customers use specific features

Analyze and report product malfunctions

Update our internal databases with information about technical issues and document discussions with customers

Share feature requests and effective workarounds with team members

Inform customers of new features and functionalities

Follow up with customers to ensure their issues are resolved

Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent (higher degree preferred, but not required)

· Proven experience in accounting, with some tech exposure or affinity

· Familiarity with the ERP industry is a plus

· Experience using help desk software and remote support tools is a plus

· Top-notch oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills Required

· Well-developed arbitration skills with the ability to remain impartial

· Affinity for multitasking with precision

· Capacity to accept and utilize constructive criticism

· Ability to be proactive and work independently in a fast-paced environment

SQL experience is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
