Position Description
CGI has an immediate need for a AI/ML Architect to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest customers. We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies.

We partner with 15 of the top 20 banks globally, and our top 10 banking clients have worked with us for an average of 26 years!. This role is located at a client site in Reston, VA or Plano, TX. A hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities
The AI/ML Architect will lead the design and implementation of advanced AI/ML solutions within cloud-based enterprise environments. This role involves partnering with business teams to understand requirements, architecting scalable and secure AI/ML systems, and integrating these solutions into existing applications. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in cloud platforms, machine learning engineering, and enterprise architecture, while also demonstrating strong communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
. 10+ years of hands-on experience in application development
. 5+ years in solution architecture, systems engineering, or AI-related disciplines
. 5+ years of experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS)
. Proven experience deploying machine learning models and AI services in production environments
. Hands-on expertise with AWS tools such as SageMaker, Bedrock, Lambda, ECS, and MySQL
. Strong programming skills in Python, Spark, or R
. Familiarity with AI services for speech, vision, and text processing
. Experience with MLOps and DataOps lifecycles and engineering practices
. Knowledge of microservices architecture and cloud data migration strategies
. Exposure to multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
. Understanding of architecture frameworks (TOGAF is a plus)
. Experience with tools like Spark, Hive, and Airflow (Spark preferred)
. Ability to design and implement AI workflows integrated with business applications
. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to present complex ideas clearly
. Experience in stakeholder engagement, conflict resolution, and strategic planning

Desired Skillset

. Master's degree in a relevant discipline (preferred)
. AWS Professional Certification in AI/ML (preferred)

Educational Requirement:
​Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (required)

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $121,200.00 - $158,900.00.
