Family Office Accountant
We are a private family office managing a portfolio that includes real estate holdings, a private jet lease, and other privately held entities. We're seeking an experienced Accountant or Bookkeeper to take ownership of financial operations across these assets. The ideal candidate is not only technically strong, but also grounded in integrity, loyalty, and sound judgment.
This is a high-trust role where consistency, confidentiality, and ethical decision-making are essential. You'll manage sensitive information across a variety of holdings and provide the financial clarity that keeps our operations running smoothly and responsibly.
Responsibilities
Real Estate Financial Oversight
- Maintain accurate financial records for a 13-property real estate portfolio
- Track rental income, reconcile tenant ledgers, and manage mortgage schedules
- Ensure proper accounting of depreciation and asset value over time
General Accounting Leadership
- Oversee bookkeeping, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Prepare financial statements and work with external CPAs and advisors
- Provide clean, reliable reporting that supports compliance and planning
Aviation Lease Management
- Track lease payments, usage logs, and maintenance-related costs
- Maintain detailed records and documentation for all aviation expenses
- Use Excel to analyze trends, support budgeting, and monitor financial health
Cross-Entity Administrative Support
- Assist with payroll, budgeting, and vendor payments
- Liaise with service providers and financial institutions
- Maintain strict confidentiality across all duties and correspondence
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3-5+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Familiarity with real estate, asset management, or multi-entity environments
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, macros)
- Experience with platforms like QuickBooks, Xero, or similar
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and independent
- Brings a strong ethical foundation and loyalty to the work, someone trusted to act responsibly with sensitive information and long-term responsibilities

Compensation & Benefits
