Fleet Manager

As a Fleet Manager and Lead Mechanic, you will play a key role in ensuring our trucks, trailers, and equipment are safe, reliable, and ready to meet the demands of our crews. Responsibilities

• Oversee and perform the maintenance, registration, inspection, and repair of the company’s fleet of trucks, trailers, and equipment.
• Schedule and monitor preventive maintenance to reduce vehicle and equipment downtime.
• Track fuel usage, GPS data, and telematics to promote efficiency and safety.
• Maintain accurate records for all fleet assets, including service logs, mileage, warranties, and insurance documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors, mechanics, and drivers to resolve repair and maintenance issues promptly.
• Develop and implement fleet policies related to inspections, driver safety, and vehicle usage.
• Monitor and report on fleet-related costs, identifying opportunities to improve cost efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards.
• Support onboarding and training for drivers on vehicle operation and inspection procedures.
• Assist with asset lifecycle planning, including procurement, replacement, and disposal of vehicles and equipment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in fleet management, logistics, or equipment maintenance (experience in construction, landscaping, or service industries is a plus).
• Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance schedules and vendor coordination.
• Experience with fleet tracking systems such as GPS, telematics, or asset management software.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze data and make informed operational recommendations.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
