An international equipment manufacturer of conventional and digital printing presses is looking for a Field Service Engineer to focus on mechanical work on conventional commercial printing press lines in the US. This Mechanical Service Technician will travel to customer’s commercial printing plants to repair, maintain, inspect and test printing machinery. Expect to clean and lubricate parts of the machinery. You will do installations, repairs and preventative maintenance of their press lines. Expect travel to be over 50% with limited overnights and weekend work. This a remote role, you do need to live 30 to 40 minutes from a major airport. Ideal candidate will have at least 5 or more years in a field service or maintenance with a focus on conventional printing or packaging machinery. Good computer, communication and written skills are a must. The ability to work independently and within groups are keys for success. Base yearly salary ranges from $65k to $75k pending on experience and they do offer full benefits and overtime. Expect this to be a six figure income role.
