Dental Office Administrator

Kaufman Family Dentistry is seeking a professional, compassionate, and friendly addition to our front office team!
The successful candidate will be responsible for greeting patients, scheduling appointments, answering phones, collecting payments, and other administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be organized and detail-oriented, and be willing to learn all things dental! Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Interaction: Greet patients by name, answer phone calls, provide information, and assist patients in filling out required forms.
- Scheduling: Schedule, reschedule, and manage patient appointments.
- Patient Records: Maintain accurate and organized patient records.
- Billing and Insurance: Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility, process insurance claims, collect and manage patient payments, and prepare billing statements.
- Office Management: Manage office supplies, maintain a clean and organized reception area, and handle basic accounting tasks.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Treatment Planning: Assist patients with treatment plans.
- Referrals: Manage and organize referrals to specialists.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other relevant regulations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of previous experience in dental front office or other customer service position
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must be able to follow and apply established office policies and procedures, including compliance with HIPAA and other relevant regulations.
- Must have strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Must maintain a positive attitude and a professional appearance.
- Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and written in English. Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
- Must have the ability to solve patient issues and concerns calmly and effectively.
- Be capable of working effectively with doctors, staff members, and patients under varying conditions.
- Must be able to embrace differences among people, providing a warm, welcoming atmosphere for all patients.
- Be customer-service oriented and able to communicate with a pleasant demeanor at all times.
- Must possess excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, ability to multitask and efficiently perform job duties in a face-paced environment.
- Must be proficient in or willing to learn dental practice management software.
- Must be able to pass a background check and submit to a drug screen.
