Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Desktop Support Technician to provide day-to-day technical support for approximately 120 computers and users. This position is responsible for ensuring that desktops, laptops, printers, desk phones, and other end-user devices are set up, maintained, and functioning properly.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and desk phones.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network issues.
- Provide hands-on support for end users, including account setups, password resets, and software installations.
- Assist with onboarding of new employees (workstation setup, phone/email configuration, printer access, etc.).
- Maintain accurate records of equipment assignments and updates.
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff or vendors as needed.
- Support routine IT maintenance tasks (updates, patching, basic inventory).
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of IT or desktop support experience preferred (internship or help desk experience acceptable).
- Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and general networking concepts.
- Ability to troubleshoot common PC, printer, and phone issues.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to lift and move computer equipment (up to 40 lbs.).
- High school diploma or equivalent required; IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, etc.) a plus.
