Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to join our team. The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company's purchasing activities, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing products and services for the salon. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven track record of cost savings and supplier relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to ensure the most cost-effective and efficient procurement of products and services

- Identify and source new suppliers, negotiate contracts and terms, and maintain relationships with existing suppliers

- Monitor and analyze market trends and pricing to ensure competitive pricing and quality products

- Collaborate with other departments to understand their purchasing needs and develop strategies to meet those needs

- Work closely with the finance team to manage budgets and control costs

- Develop and maintain a system for tracking and reporting on purchasing activities and cost savings

- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations

- Stay current with industry trends and developments to make informed purchasing decisions

- Train and mentor purchasing team members to ensure their professional development and growth

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in the beauty or retail industry

- Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and purchasing software

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities

- Knowledge of supply chain management and inventory control

- Familiarity with sourcing and purchasing from international suppliers is a plus
