Nurse Director, Critical Care Services leads clinical and operational excellence across inpatient intensive care, cardiac support, and dialysis services by directing daily unit operations, staffing and scheduling, patient throughput, and bed management. Daily responsibilities include conducting safety rounds, monitoring KPIs, enforcing regulatory and accreditation standards, optimizing budgets and department equipment, and driving evidence-based practice and performance improvement initiatives. Other responsibilities include coaching and evaluating nursing staff, ensuring EMR documentation integrity, resolving escalations, collaborating with physicians and ancillary departments, overseeing orientation and ongoing competencies, updating policies and clinical pathways, analyzing dashboards to act on trends, leading huddles and multidisciplinary rounds, enhancing patient and family experience, and maintaining readiness for audits, emergencies, and surge capacity.
