Job Title: Tech Advisor Software Development

Job Location: 3000 N. Sam Houston Parkway E., Houston, TX 77032

Duties:

Responsibilities include: Focus on delivering key technologies to the overall technical software architecture. The expertise may include functional understanding of business development and well site delivery mechanisms. Using an understanding of the technological advances in both the software industry and in the oil and gas industry this person will challenge the technical software delivery process to deliver fit for purpose software in a more timely manner. This person will have had experience in leading software development projects especially at a systems level and may provide Technical Excellence Leadership for more than one team, providing expert guidance to software developers and support staff. Provides a strong technical focus in product planning for a complete software system. This person should sit on one or more industry groups. Design and Development of professional quality desktop application code in an Agile environment. Development of unit tests for validation code. Interacting with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) who will guide the software development. Working closely with other Developers to achieve objectives.

Requirements

Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in a Tech Advisor Software Development-related occupation.

Position requires experience in the following:

1. Experience packaging applications using Wix and Installshield, building and deploying software applications using Azure Devops.
2. Experience Integrating Scientific Algorithms written in Fortran/MATLAB/Python/C++ with the .NET Applications.
3. Experience setting up and maintaining Windows Servers and Virtual Images using Hyper-V and VMWare to accommodate building, testing and deployment of software products.
4. Experience with Software Application Development using C++/MFC, C#/WPF.
5. Experience with debugging code in Visual Studio and utilizing tools available in Visual Studio to improve code quality.
6. Experience with development of Multi-Threaded applications.
7. Experience developing Embedded Software Application using C++.
8. Experience developing Realtime Data Acquisition Software.
