Job Title: Surgical Technologist (CVOR)

Location: Houston, TX

Type: Contract

Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM

Pay Rate: $42 – $45 per hour

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking  Surgical Technologist (CVOR)  for an exciting Travel or Local job in Houston, TX.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room and ensure all equipment and instruments are properly sterilized and ready for use.

• Assist physicians during cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures by anticipating surgical needs.

• Maintain a sterile field and adhere to infection control standards throughout all procedures.

• Accurately count instruments, sponges, and supplies before, during, and after surgery.

• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe and efficient patient care.

• Train and mentor less experienced surgical staff as needed.

• Follow all hospital and departmental policies, procedures, and safety protocols.

Requirements:

• Certification:

  • Current BLS certification (AHA).

  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA or NCCT.

• Experience:

  • Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) is required.

  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and patient safety standards.
