Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst

Citibank, N.A. seeks an Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst for its Irving, Texas location.

Duties: Architect and prove feasibility of changes and enhancements to existing solution in support of key business requirement for Event Master Central (EMC) applications. Design highly scalable, high performing and fault tolerant software architecture. Conduct and document proof of concept, and present the findings for peer and management review. Design, develop and maintain extract, transform and load (ETL) code using Ab Inito comprised of continuous and batch graph. Conduct review of similar plans and codes developed by other developers. Analyze business requirements provided by business analysts, project managers and user clients to ensure system and component compatibility of the EMC applications. Engage in application functionality testing and make necessary enhancements and changes. Follow a well-defined AGILE and Waterfall development methodologies. Provide post-development support including stability-related enhancement tasks and applications health level maintenance. Leverage R analytics tools to extract historical data from Oracle DB for training models which detects outliers, anomalies and statistical analysis of financial trade data. Update applications to the latest version available to mitigate End of Vendor Support (EOVS) software components. Ensure proof of concept are conducted using the latest available version of Ab Inito and Talend. Identify areas for improvement in current architecture based on changing data trends, jobs and requirements and suggest enhancement solutions. Leverage SQL, spark and python to load the data from upstream tables to the stage tables in EMC and perform advanced and resilient transformations on large amount of data. Handle production and non-production issues escalated by EMC users and Level 1 and 2 support personnel. Support and facilitate audit and compliance requirements. Support and extend monitoring solutions for EMC technical component. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Analytics or related field and 3 years of experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer, or related position involving software design, development and implementation for a global financial services institution. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in the stated fields and 5 years of the specified progressive, post-baccalaureate experience. 3 years of experience must include: Ab Initio GDE and Co> Op including Conduct> IT; Agile and waterfall methodologies; and SQL. 1 year of experience must include: R analytics tool; and Spark, Python.
