Chipton-Ross is seeking a Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist 3 for a contract opportunity in Dallas, TX.

100% onsite

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

Powered Industrial Trucks, Fall Protection, Electrical Safety, Lockout Tagout, Personal Protective Equipment Assessments, Ergonomic Evaluations, Cranes and Hoist, and machine guarding.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assures environmental, health and safety (EHS) requirements are met. Interfaces with regulatory agencies, coordinates site inspections, prepares and submits permit applications and other required documents. Develops and conducts training. Conducts periodic assessments of workplace programs and practices to assure effectiveness. Assesses risks, develops and implements risk mitigations for new and ongoing business activities. Evaluates new regulations for impact on company business activities.

Regular and predictable attendance is required.

- Prepares compliance and technical reports to meet Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) regulatory requirements. - Acts as primary site interface with regulatory agencies. - Prepares and submits permit applications. - Performs program reviews, investigates incidents and provides corrective action to prevent reoccurrence of incidents. - Evaluates workplace hazards. - Provides input to new business opportunities and facilities projects to ensure compliance. - Conducts education and training to support regulatory and business requirements. - Evaluates impact of new regulations on company operations. - Reviews vendor, contractor and supplier activities for EHS compliance for site processes and program goals. - Must be comfortable engaging team members and help solve problems. - Presenting ideas and solutions to stakeholders and leading safety teams.

Successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment - OJT or formal classroom training.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be comfortable standing and walking for extending periods of time.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Accredited Bachelor's degree in EHS (environmental, health and safety) related field.

WORK HOURS:

Full-Time/First Shift 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

ADDITIONAL:

Domestic Travel Required: Location will primarily be at the Spirit MRO facility.
