Quality Manager NDT Level II

This position presents a unique opportunity to impact quality assurance processes and drive improvements in our non-destructive testing (NDT) operations.
We also welcome experienced Quality Managers or NDT Level II certified professionals ready to transition into a Quality Manager role. This position offers the opportunity to pursue NDT Level III certification with company support.
Position Overview:
The Quality Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all quality-related activities within Onyx Specialty Processing, with a specific focus on NDT processes, particularly Fluorescent Penetrant Testing (PT). The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with industry standards, implement quality control measures, and develop training programs to foster a culture of quality throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage quality assurance programs, policies, and procedures in line with industry standards and applicable regulations.
- Oversee NDT operations and ensure proper application of testing methods, particularly PT, in compliance with NAS410 and Nadcap standards.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Lead root cause analysis for non-conformances and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance process efficiency and ensure product reliability.
- Provide training and mentorship to staff on quality management practices and NDT procedures.
- Compile and analyze quality data, prepare reports, and present findings to management.
- Stay up-to-date with industry advancements, regulatory changes, and best practices in quality management.
Requirements
**US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED**
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, with a focus on non-destructive testing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or related field preferred.
- Level II NDT certification in Fluorescent Penetrant Testing (PT) is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, AS9100, etc.) and NDT standards (NAS410, Nadcap).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
- Experience in conducting internal audits and training staff in quality practices.
- Proficiency with quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- US Citizenship is required due to government regulations.
