Talent Acquisition Specialist
Principle HR is seeking a part-time Talent Acquisition Specialist to support the recruitment function for one of our valued clients based in Irving, TX, as part of an outsourced Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) engagement. This role will work directly with client hiring leaders to source, engage, and screen candidates for current openings. This is a part-time position, approximately 25 hours per week, with a hybrid schedule requiring 2+ days per week on-site at the client's Irving, TX location. Occasional evening or weekend availability may be needed to support job fairs or networking events. This position could grow to support other client's RPO needs in the future.
Familiarity with the air and ground medical transportation industry is a plus as the initial focus will be with hiring EMTs and Paramedics.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with client department leaders to understand staffing needs and build ongoing sourcing strategies tailored to those needs.
- Identify and engage qualified candidates through diverse sourcing channels.
- Build and maintain candidate pipelines to support both immediate openings and longer-term hiring needs.
- Increase applicant flow through employee referral programs and external professional networks.
- Represent and promote the client's employer brand across online channels and in-person events.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date candidate records in the client's Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and other recruitment tools.
- Re-engage prior applicants for new opportunities and maintain positive, ongoing candidate relationships.
- Support or lead job fairs and hiring events on the client's behalf; represent the client at relevant industry conferences and community events.
- Manage initial candidate screening, including resume review, phone screens, and interview scheduling with client hiring managers.
- Cultivate relationships with area high schools, colleges, and vocational programs to build long-term talent pipelines.
- Provide regular reporting and updates to both the client and Principle HR on pipeline health, sourcing metrics, and hiring progress.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a recruitment-related role.
- Familiarity with full-cycle hiring stages (screening, interview, assessment, onboarding).
- High drive and willingness to learn and grow.
- Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Hands-on experience with candidate selection processes (phone interviews, reference checks, etc.).
- Experience using recruiting software and social platforms for sourcing.
- Skilled in sourcing techniques (social media recruiting, Boolean search strings).
- Working knowledge of employment laws and regulations relevant to the client's industry.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a distributed RPO team, coordinating across Principle HR and client stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel locally for career fairs and recruitment events.
Preferred
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- Experience working in Microsoft Teams.
- Familiarity with the client's industry (air and ground medical transport).
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Prior experience in an outsourced or agency recruiting environment.
Hours & Schedule
- Part-time, approximately 25 hours per week.
- Hybrid schedule: 2 days per week required on-site at the client's Irving, TX location; remaining hours may be remote.
- Standard business hours align with Monday–Friday, with occasional evening/weekend flexibility for events.
Work Environment
- Hybrid: mix of client office days and external settings (career fairs, schools, community events).
- Reports functionally to Principle HR, with day-to-day collaboration alongside client hiring managers.
Travel
- Local travel required for events and conferences; valid driver's license required.
Physical & Other Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs for event materials.
- Professional attire required for public-facing and client-facing events.
