Job Summary:
The Marketing Coordinator is a key team member because they keep the Marketing department running smoothly and ensure our work is on time, on brand, and error-free. They will proofread all marketing content before it is distributed, including blogs, articles, marketing emails, sales collateral, website content, social posts, proposals, presentations, and employee award submissions, and assist with graphic design projects. The Marketing Coordinator will act as traffic manager for the company's advertising initiatives and be responsible for submitting assets. They will work in the team calendar (CoSchedule) to add, execute, and complete tasks and interface with associations and organizations regarding corporate memberships. In addition, they will manage payment of Marketing expenses and keep track of the department budget and expenses.
Responsibilities:
- Proofreading - Blogs, articles, emails, collateral, website content, proposals, presentations, social posts, etc.
- Advertising - Act as traffic manager. Manage commitments, deadlines, and assets.
- Department Calendar - Work in Marketing team calendar (CoSchedule) to add, execute, and complete tasks.
- Corporate Memberships - Interface with associations and organizations regarding corporate memberships to manage payments, asset delivery, company roster, listing information, etc.
- Internal communications - Proofread and edit all employee recognition submissions. Procure and send gift cards to winners each month.
- Sales Support - Assist in developing sales materials, collecting testimonials, and building presentations and proposals.
- Public Relations - Maintain press list and work with staff and PR rep to coordinate distribution of press releases.
- Recordkeeping - Keep good records of contracts, agreements, and other marketing-related items on behalf of the department. Manage marketing expenses and track budget.
- Providing general support to the Marketing team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field required.
- 1-3 years of relevant marketing experience preferred; strong consideration will be given to candidates with equivalent experience gained through internships or on-campus marketing roles.
- Excellent writing, proofreading, and grammar skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to multitask are a must.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Graphic design and social media/content development skills are a plus.
- Ability to work with budgets and learn the company's expense system and accounting practices.
- Minimal travel required (occasional department meetings or trade shows).
