Posted 29-Jan-2024 Service line Corporate Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Accounting/Finance Location(s) Richardson - Texas - United States of America About the role As a CBRE Sr Payroll Tax Analyst, you will be responsible for all functions relating to payroll tax reporting, payments, tax filings, and new tax jurisdictions utilizing ADP Payroll Tax Services for multiple EINs, operating in a multi-state environment, serving as lead for all quarter and year-end tax activities, and ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local tax authorities. What you'll do - Analyze and reconcile all payroll taxes on a quarterly basis to include evaluating and resolving variances utilizing ADP reports.
- Review and resolve tax adjustments including crafting and processing quarterly amendments, as needed.
- Prepare, remit and file returns not supported by ADP Tax Services on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Reconciliation and management of incoming tax agency refunds coordinating backup and coding with G/L & A/R.
- Audit tax setup and tax blocks related to VISAs & EADs.
- Administer new tax account set-ups, prepare, and remit new State, SUI & Local tax registrations for tax jurisdictions utilizing ADP Registration Services.
- Ability to research, analyze, and provide recommendations to tax related inquiries.
- Assist with tax audits for mergers and acquisitions of tax elections and prior tax balances, as needed.
- Working closely with Manager, serve as Tax Lead for the year-end process to include mapping for tax forms, auditing, reviewing, and releasing tax forms for print and distribution.
- Coordinate 3rd party year-end data, review, and resolve negative wages.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Support Payroll Tax Analysts, as needed.
- Special Projects, as needed.
What you'll need - Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- 2 - 4 years of experience with all aspects of payroll tax for US & Puerto Rico.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. Advanced in MS Excel including Pivot tables & VLOOKUP a plus.
- Multi-state payroll processing knowledge.
- Positive attitude and a team player.
- Ability to prioritize work in a fast pace and constantly evolving environment.
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of management, staff, customers, and vendors.
- Experience using ADP Vantage or ADP EV5/EV6 and ADP reporting or other equivalent reporting tool is a bonus.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with ADP SmartCompliance is strongly preferred.
- FPC or CPP a plus.
