Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) position at a Level III Trauma Center in Lewisville, TX, requiring at least 1 year of OR experience and active TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Located in a full-service acute care hospital that is a Level III Trauma Center and Magnet®-recognized facility
• Assignment in the CVOR unit
• Day shift schedule: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• On-call is required for this position
• Floating to other units as needed
• EMR: Meditech (experience preferred)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact RN license required; temp licenses are not accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA or ARC accepted; no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the start date)
• Minimum 1 year of recent CVOR or OR experience required
• Prior experience in general, GYN, ortho, spine, robotic, and vascular OR cases required
• Experience with adult, adolescent, and geriatric patient populations required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two required for candidates licensed in Florida or Missouri)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Facility scrubs are provided
• Artificial nails, gel, and next-gen nails are not permitted; nails must be clean and healthy
• Hair must be neat and pulled back if shoulder length or longer; no extreme styles or colors
• Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited (e.g., nose rings, tongue rings)
• Body art should be covered whenever possible
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible — no exceptions
